Privacy Policy · NEXUS Clipping
Last updated: October 1, 2026
NEXUS Clipping (« NEXUS », « we ») is a platform that connects creators (clippers) with labels/artists for music clipping campaigns on TikTok. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
- NEXUS account: email, username (via our authentication provider).
- TikTok data (via the official API, with your authorization): basic profile information (id, display name, avatar), public stats (followers, likes) and the list of your videos with their public metrics, including the view count. We access this data only after your explicit consent via TikTok Login Kit, and strictly within the scopes
user.info.basic,user.info.statsandvideo.list. - Campaign content: the links of the clips you submit and their performance.
- Technical and device data: IP address, device type and technical identifiers, used only for security and fraud prevention (detecting multiple accounts, abuse).
- Push notifications (mobile app): if you enable notifications in the app, a device-specific notification identifier is handled by our delivery provider (OneSignal) to alert you (new campaign, validated clip, payment). You can disable them at any time in your phone settings.
How we use this data
- Display your profile and your connected accounts in the app.
- Measure the views of your videos taking part in a campaign in order to calculate and verify your compensation.
- Build leaderboards and campaign statistics.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. The aggregated stats of your clips (views, earnings) are visible to the label running the campaign you take part in, for validation and payment. We do not share your data with other third parties for advertising purposes.
We rely on technical service providers that process some data on our behalf, solely to provide the service: hosting and database, authentication provider, and push notification delivery (OneSignal). These providers are required to protect your data and to use it only for those purposes.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time (the access token is then deleted) or request the deletion of your NEXUS account and associated data by writing to us at contact@the-nexus.me. You can also revoke NEXUS's access directly from your TikTok account settings.
Security
TikTok access tokens are stored securely on the server side and are never exposed publicly. All exchanges use HTTPS.
